Everything we were looking for!

I did a lot of research before staying at Solitude. It was everything I thought it was going to be. It looks like a cute little village in the Swiss Alps. The condos are very clean, cozy and had everything that we needed. The food in the restaurants that we ate in were very good. The staff at The Ski Lodge were nice and helpful all the way from the ski school to ski rental equipment. We loved everything about our stay at Solitude and will definitely be staying again.
Love Solitude Resort!

This is our third visit to Solitude with the family and we just love everything about the resort. It is family friendly, the lift tickets are a reasonable price, it is convenient to Salt Lake City, there is never a lift line. It is truly ski in ski out. Thank you for the activities each day for the children. The magician, birds of prey exhiit, marshmellow roasting and smores were all wonderful! In the past, we have stayed in 2 bedroom units in Powderhorn that were bigger. East 403 was not as well equipped. There were no shelves in the closets or not enough drawyer space to unpack fully. There are no hooks or place to hang coats or helmets in the living area. The kitchen had no cabinet space to unload groceries. The drier needs maintenance as it took 4-5 cycles to fully dry one load and the lint basket was clear. The condo did have one cool mist humidifier, which is great. We would have liked to have a second for the other bedroom. This is very helpful in acclimating to the altitude.
We vacationed in a Winter Wonderland!

We spent Christmas 2009 in Solitude Village Utah for something different from our yearly holiday traditions. The whole week was fantastic. The condo was attractive, bright, cozy and comfortable, with a killer view. It had everything we needed to relax when we weren't out playing. Canyon Vacation Rentals was especially accommodating. We had three separate special requests. We needed the boxes we had shipped to be put in the condo before our Saturday night arrival, which they did for us. Also, my husband forgot the power supply for his computer and they helped us get it delivered so he could do some work. Finally, our teenage son accidentally lost the lock for the ski locker and they promptly replaced it for us. We were a lot of trouble and they were very gracious! Solitude is a fantastic resort. It is family oriented and casual yet very luxurious and full of people ready to help. The snow is great, there are virtually no lift lines and it offers varied terrain while still being accessible enough for our teenager to go off on his own. The village has a Nordic flavor, with firepits for s'mores, an ice skating rink that our six year old daughter loved, and scheduled activities such as carolers and a performance of the Grinch. What is really sweet about this particular condo is that the heated pool and hot tubs are right outside the door. They felt soooo good at the end of the day. We also rented snowshoes one day and went into the adjacent forest. In short it had everything we dreamed of except a sleigh ride!! I highly recommend it, especially for families.
